Mobile Post Bushfire Relief

responsive design concept

Working to provide relief to bushfire effected communities, I have created a design that has considered a requirement of mobility, but also reflects and provides the same function to a typical brick and motar Australia Post location. With influence from Australia Post’s ethics and design cues, I have taken these facets of design literally and metaphysically.

Working with the brief to design a mobile, transportable postal service, I have taken the dimensions of an average truck trailer and established the parameters of my concept. Within the 12500mm x 2500mm space, I have delegated spaces to provide the footprint to each service, office and interactive facet of the design.

Designing a space that must be portable, I felt the most sensible design approach was one that saw the use of modular structures.

The arrangement of the mobile post space is completely customisable. The layout of the space can be changed and personalised depending on setting, function, population and other requirements.
